I have been wanting to blog this wedding since the day I shot it and today is finally the day I get to share this special wedding with the world.

Armand & Nadine tied the knot end of November 2016 at The Nutcracker Country Retreat near Parys in the Free-State. I have been to this venue numerous times, but each and every time I am pleasantly surprised by the photographic opportunities and amazing food the venue has to offer. This time it was no different, except this time I had a very exceptional  couple in front of my camera... You might remember them from their vintage inspired engagement shoot I did a while back, view it here . But to me, they are special friends.

It's such a privilege to document old school fiends' weddings. You get to witness them grow-up and become a true gentlemen or lady and best of all, you get to witness them find true love! This is something I truly treasure!

Armand & Nadine, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your wedding day! You are amazing together and I wish you many years of joy and happiness! Enjoy this journey as husband and wife.

Lindie is a dear friend from high school, she is a woman with a heart of gold that loves Jesus and that owns a beauty coming from within! Now she found the one man that was made for her, Gerrit! What a privilege to have them as clients, to capture the beautiful love they share and to be part of such an incredibly special time in their lives.

Their engagement shoot is a favourite, not only due to the super cool venue and their incredible style but more so because they are deeply in love and not afraid to show it! They did not worry about 'how the images will look',  they only focused on one another and being just them! The perfect ingredients for any successful shoot!

Gerrit & Lindie will be tying the knot in April at Lace on Timer. Super excited to have them in front of my camera again!

Hope you enjoy their images as much as I do!

I photographed this handsome little man, Luke last year when he was just a few days old. The natural way I captured him and his brand new parents is what my lifestyle newborn sessions is all about. Embracing the love, beauty and sometimes funny moments new life brings along.
It's all about capturing the baby within his/her natural environment in a way they feel comfortable and happy.

Enjoy the cuteness of this beautiful baby boy!!

December 2016 I had the amazing opportunity to do this early morning beach maternity shoot for Barry & Anika. We met just before sunrise and I couldn't be happier with the way everything came out. We had the most stunning light as the sun came up over the ocean and then a thin layer of clouds covered the sky, creating a soft blanket of diffused light for the duration of our shoot. The colours, light and surroundings worked in perfect harmony! A great tip is to always wear garments that compliment your bodies, each other and the location!!

This was my first beach maternity shoot and definitely not the last one...!! So let me know if your up for a shoot on the beach!!
Hope you enjoy the preview of my favourites.

I was thrilled to be back at Riversong venue for Stefan & Lizélda's wedding. The clean air, river views and casual atmosphere this venue offer is a breath of fresh air. No wonder these two travelled all the way from Nelspruit to celebrate their wedding next to the Vaal River.

Their wedding was full of colour, interesting details, floral prints and love! They created a whimsical, yet relaxed environment where guests could have a drink, enjoy a snack and embrace the beautiful views of the Free State.

Stefan & Lizélda, thanks so much for trusting us to capture your wedding day and for being such wonderful clients! May your marriage be blessed and filled with many years of joy!

Although 2017 is on a roll and the end of January is almost here, it's time to show you some of the beauty end of 2016 brought with the wedding of Jason & Hanné. This lovely couple tied the knot at Lavender Hill just outside Bethlehem, Free State.

Hanné had a two-way wedding dress which I loved and their day was celebrated with hues of blue, crystals and greenery. The magnificent Free State did bring some stormy weather and brownish skies, but we all celebrate the rain after the very dry season, plus the images it produced was something amazing.

It was also the first time I had to photograph the groom on a drip! Photographing weddings can sometimes be a bumpy road.
Hope you enjoy this destination wedding!

Jason & Hanné, thanks so much for a lovely weekend and for making us feel right at home! I wish you all the best for your marriage and your future as husband and wife! Enjoy the journey together.  Lots of Love xxx

Drew & Hilandi are genuinely the most amazing people, they completely won my heart with their kindness, warm personalities and great appreciation for my work. I am so thankful that our paths crossed and that they left their footprints in my heart.

They chose Lace on Timber as their wedding venue and although I have done many lifestyle and portrait shoots there before, this was my first official wedding at this incredible new venue and it was perfect!

Hilandi wore a fitted long-sleeved wedding dress by Kobus Rautenbach , defiantly one of my favourites wedding dresses from all time. Their wedding details was carefully planned and really made the most amazing images. Please note Drew's handwriting - it looks like something out of an old romantic movie.

It was difficult to choose their images for the blog as they are so natural and just plain stunning, but here are a few of my favourites. Hope you enjoy them.

Drew & Hilandi, thank you very much for being the amazing people you are.  Thank you for trusting me to capture the love you share and your most beautiful wedding day. May you have many years together filled with amazing memories! Lots of Love xxx

The re-branding of D'amor has been a year long dream that has finally come to life and today I get to share my vision, my dreams and my passion with the world. A lot has changed since I started D'amor in 2011, I have grown so much as an individual and as a business woman. I have discovered who I am as an artist and learned to appreciate the person I was made to be and the way I view the world. Since then I completed my degree in photography, married my childhood crush and best friend.

It was time to express all these inner changes through my business, as I strongly believe that personal touch is a key element to connect with clients while providing them with a professional service or product. To me, it is important that my clients identify with my style as well as my personality, as we will be doing a lot of pretty things together!

Nadia, from Creative Heroes , is the lady behind all the pretty branding of D'amor and the one who helped me to express all those inner changes. A very big THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, I really wouldn't have done it without you!!

To celebrate this new era of D'amor I decided to do a styled shoot that would represent D'amor and communicate my vision to the world. With the help of some of my favourite industry suppliers we created a shoot that I am very proud of, despite many challenges!

Ezalle from Myrtle Events and Styling help me put together the concept for the shoot, after sharing many Pinterest images, emails and coffee dates we came up with a concept that would communicate the perfect balance between a soft romantic and a modern clean look. And the fun started! Ezalle also did all the styling and floral design for the shoot! She is an amazingly talented woman!!

Our model for the shoot was the fabulous Anke Heymans, this lady is a dream to photograph. Her inner beauty shines through in an extraordinary way and I am so thankful for her always being willing to model for me.

Zanne from Zanne Couture offered to design and make a dress especially for the re-brand shoot of D'amor... she is amazing!!

She created the flowy skirt with meters of mesh and a lace trim that makes for a beautiful soft look. The white lace is lined with a blush to create a feminine feel and to add dimension to the dress. The back is low with straps covered in lace leaves and flowers and a velvet belt  was added to emphasises the waist and add some texture which is one of her signature styles.

The most beautiful make-up artist, Missy, from Missy make-up Artist was kind enough to finish off the look with the perfect hair and make-up. Lorean Jewellery Design gave us modern jewellery pieces that would compliment the look.

The incredible cake, cookies and doughnuts were made Mmm macaroon . I am still in love with the cake!! Reserved Decor sponsored some if the decor elements.

My heart is overflowing with joy and I am truly humbled by each and every one of you who made this shoot and re-brand possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of this new start and for believing in D'amor!!

Cheers to a new start, to new adventures and a bright future!!

Lots of Love xxx
